open studios open studios

9-10 oct 2004

So october is Open Studios season in SF, and this year the Metalshop at Cellspace is representin' saturday and sunday October 9 and 10 from 11am to 6pm. The location is the back of cellspace - 2050 bryant street, between 18th and 19th streets. Several people, including Jane Wason and Colleen Noonan, will have work on display and for sale - so there should be lots to see and you might find that must have piece for your small but growing art collection... I'll be showing sculpture and furniture (including 'monoliths' just back and still dusty from the playa).

back to front back to front

27 jul - 14 aug 2003

With welders flashing, grinders squealing and hamnmers banging, the Metal Shop thrives in a cacophony of bright light, smoke and sound. Our goal is to make anything imaginable out of metal by sharing our knowledge and skills, and by encouraging each other to do the impossible.

In "Back to Front", Metal Shop artists bring their creations formed in the gritty and often raucous far-end of CELLspace into the street-front gallery. In doing so, the Metal Shop hopes to spread the word about the work of its individual members and its collective projects, while raising funds to help fulfill its mission.

platform platform

A series featuring emerging artists working in various media, including visual arts, design, sound, film and fasion. Not your typical gallery opening, and not quite a dance party, but a place to experience art and meet interesting people.

the crucible's juried student artshow

jan 2002

the "juried student artshow" provides students an opportunity to show their work created during classes, labs, or at least partially worked on at the crucible. All work submitted by students will be on display during the opening gala, and selected pieces will continue to be shown in the gallery for the month of january. A few of my pieces will be on display during the opening party, and aural bouquet has been selected to be part of the gallery show.
